Medlock and Gramlich, LLP

Criminal

When you or a loved one is involved in an unfortunate incident that leads to questioning or even an arrest, call Medlock and Gramlich, LLP. It is important that each individual knows his or her rights prior to speaking to law enforcement. If an arrest is made we at Medlock and Gramlich, LLP will fight to get your bail lowered and even contact a bondsman for you.

The State of Arkansas has the burden to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that you in fact committed the crime for which you are being charged. At Medlock and Gramlich, LLP we will take an active role to prove your innocence, which is more than the law requires but exactly what our clients deserve.

Upon being retained as counsel, we will immediately file an Entry of Appearance, Waiver of Arraignment, Entry of Not Guilty Plea and a Motion for Discovery. Once the State answers the Discovery request we will again sit down and discuss matters. Once we have all the facts and talked to all the witnesses involved, we will prepare a defense that includes having a trial to prove your innocence.

The law dictates range of punishment for felonies in Arkansas and they are as follows:

  • Class Y    10 Years to 40 Years or Life and up to a $15,000 fine.
  • Class B    5 Years to 20 Years and up to a $15,000 fine.
  • Class C    3 Years to 10 Years and up to a $10,000 fine.
